Guest : Episode #4

A writer, graphic illustrator and photographer with a passion for art and writing in all its forms, Chrixcel’s pseudonym is an amalgamation of her forename and the word “pixel”. She gives a unique slant to her photography, exploring forgotten places and immortalising subjects that are brought to life by her thirst for adventure. Graffiti brings her to these places, which she regards as a kind of open-air gallery.

While her photography has only taken off seriously in the past four years, Chrixcel has had a passion for writing since her teenage years, using images to fuel her written work. She prefaced a book (“Opus Délits #8”) of Seize Happywallmaker’s work, which was written by Patrick Le Fur and published by Editions Critères, as well as contributing to the latest monograph about C215, entitled “Community Service”, from the same publisher (2010). She is also the author of “40 Street Artistes Au Carré” (Editions Kawa, January 2011), a collection, based on an original idea by Henri Kaufman, of poetic texts illustrated by 40 different artists, made interactive by the use of Flashcodes. She has also, in the past year, been a regular contributor to the street art website Fatcap.org.
